I hear this a lot from my clients—and I get it! Life is busy. It happens to me too! We all agree that it’s so easy to let prioritizing family photos fall by the wayside with
everything else going on in life. But I also know the regret that comes with missing an opportunity to capture your loved ones each year, and the joy that comes
from making it happen! I am always happy when I make it happen—even if one of us had a weird haircut that year or I didn’t love how I looked.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to put this priority on autopilot and know it was already checked off the list?

That’s Why I created The Family Archive Membership.

Every family is complex, but capturing your story doesn’t need to be. Here’s what you can expect from a Family Archive Membership (FAM).


Why a Family Archive Membership?

The logistical and emotional labor that goes into your everyday can feel simultaneously overwhelming and deeply beautiful. Yet, getting ourselves (parents/guardians) in the photos is important for our children and our collective story. After over a decade of working with families, and being a mother myself, I’ve become familiar with the excuses to not get in front of the camera and the constraints that come with booking a session. That’s why I created The Family Archive Memberships (FAM). I wanted to make it easier, more affordable, and more convenient to schedule annual family sessions. 

Each year I get to work with returning clients and we continue to document the shifts, growth, and changes in their lives. That connection is truly the heart of what I do. I feel honored to work with you, and it’s important to me that my offerings reflect that, which is why I’ve worked hard over the last four years to develop and continually refine this membership.

What does the membership include?

Once you have selected and purchased which FAM collection is right for you, you’ll receive access to your own client portal. This gives you access to my online calendar for scheduling/canceling/rebooking your annual photo session. You’ll also find a Client Session Guide on what to expect during sessions and tools to help with navigating the portal and how to redeem your print credit.

 

 

Family Archive Membership Benefits

$AVINGS

Becoming a member means the cost of your 1-2 hour shoot is spread out over the year—with no separate session fee. Additionally, there are no additional fees for weekend sessions and the session can include up to 6 people + 2 pets without any additional fees. (That’s one more person than regular sessions.)

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING + CONVENIENCE

Members get priority scheduling, and access to my FAM only calendar which includes weekend dates—so that you can pick the best time for you and your family. Members are automatically billed each month, making budgeting for your family photos simple and easy!


ALL IMAGES ARE YOURS

The stress of choosing which images to keep can be hard for clients. All members will receive all the carefully edited images for life. With collections B + C, you’ll also get to keep the custom slideshow I make special for your family!

BRING YOUR PIXELS TO LIFE

I don’t want you to just have digital images on your computer. I want to make sure you have something to hold in your hand and look at as a family for years to come—a physical archive. Each FAM collection has $200 to spend on prints, albums or other products in your online gallery store allowing you to bring those moments of your family to life!


MINI SESSIONS

If you purchase the top tier package, a mini session is included for clients in theTeton Valley/Jackson area in addition to your annual family lifestyle session. This is a great solution to when the grandparents visit over the summer or when you want to mark a moment in time like a missing tooth, to get quick holiday photos or to document your new puppy. The ideas for how to use this perk are endless! These are 30 minute sessions and since we’ve already worked together, you know how to throw outfits together and corral your people. Of course, I will help with any of that too. For Collection B members, you can add this feature on for $500.

YEAR ROUND GALLERY ACCESS

You’ll receive unlimited access to your personalized online gallery containing all of your photos as we create them year after year. This makes for a beautiful, shareable, and fully backed-up digital family archive album. This option will only be offered to membership clients. All other clients galleries will automatically expire after 60 days.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I have included answers to the most commonly asked membership questions. Please review below. If you still need more information or explanation, do not hesitate to reach out.

What is different about a membership versus hiring you for a family session now and then?

Memberships offer more for your money, create ease and convenience for scheduling and offer less decision making. When you enroll in monthly payment options, you are able to spread payments throughout the year versus all at once. You spend less time on logistics and decision making prior to, and after, your session. Every membership collection includes all the digital files and the session fee is built into the pricing. No more picking and choosing from the entire set of images. Members will get exclusive access to my peak summer and fall dates first, offering a much wider range of availability and no weekend fees. 

Once I’m a member, how do I access the Member only portal and sign-ups?

One of the biggest perks of the membership is efficient self-scheduling during peak times of the year. My full availability will be posted on a calendar twice a year and include both weekday and weekend session options. Sign-ups will be on a first come, first-served basis, so the earlier you log on to schedule your session once it is live, the more likely you are to get your first pick. I will send out an email to all members who have signed-up right after spring sign-ups. There will be plenty of slots to go around but joining early will give you the most choice.

Who can sign up for this membership?

Right now the FAM is only open to returning clients. This includes both family, portrait and commercial clients. Family is an inclusive term and does not mean you have to have children or even a spouse. Just you and a pet? Single parent with child(ren)? Parents/Guardians, four children and two dogs? A couple that doesn’t want children or has hopes of creating a bigger family? All and more are welcome!

How can I become a member?

Registration is open for one week and will be open May 18-26. If you miss this year, don’t fret you can still sign-up for a regular session and try again for the FAM the following May.

Can I sign up later in the year or are you closing enrollment?

Enrollment will be open once a year for three days only—unless the available slots sell out before then. I will re-open the membership again next May.

I don’t live in the Tetons. Can I still sign up?

Absolutely, yes! As long as you live in the areas I regularly work, you can sign-up (Tetons, PNW, Bozeman, Sun Valley, and Lander). Sessions in the Tetons involve no additional travel fees. Regular travels fee will, however, apply to all other areas unless I’m already working in your area. I intend to be in the Pacific Northwest, Sun Valley, Lander and Bozeman at least 1 x a year. Feel free to email me with specific questions.

*Please note: Members outside of the Tetons can only choose Collection A or B (with no mini session) as it is unlikely I will be in your area twice.

I noticed that your standard (non-membership) collection A is cheaper than all of the Family Archive Membership collections. Can you tell me more about that?

Yes! I wanted to maintain a standard collection that kept costs down. Due to the increased costs the past three years—insurance, lab products/prints, monthly subscriptions, software to run my business and other bills—my pricing has increased but I try to keep my standard Collection A below the membership collections for the year to give clients options.

What if I want to change or cancel my membership after the first year?

Signing up for the membership commits you to a full year. At the end of the year, you’ll be asked whether you’d like renew, change or end your membership. There is no obligation to sign-up year after year. ☺️

I don’t understand the mini-session thing with Collection C and/or the upgrade for Collection B.

The mini session option is something I wanted to offer to members because sometimes they come in handy and are often requested. Let’s say you want to get a few professional family photos when the grandparents are visiting, or you are pregnant and you want a few photos of your belly but would rather schedule a full session when the baby arrives, or you and your partner would like some updated headshots, or “just a few” holiday photos for your holiday cards, etc. Remember these are only 30 minutes long so it’s quick and you get 8-10 total images. While I don’t offer these to the general public, they are currently an option for collection C members at any time, and as an upgrade for Collection B members. If we plan ahead, we can make it work. Don’t get thrown off about the mini session, though: if you don’t need a mini session, no problem. If you want to take advantage of it, it’s there.

How many photos can I put in my album if I join the Family Archive and choose Collection B or C?

Albums are 20 pages long (10 spreads), so they will most likely hold as many of the images from your sessions as you’d like to include. I always err on less is more and usually recommend around 20 images. But…really, it’s up to you! And remember, your print credit can be applied towards an album upgrade (more pages) if you’d like.

Will I get my digital files right away, even if I’ve only made one or two payments before the session?

Yep! Once you sign up and make that initial payment, you can book your session immediately. (You’ll get the link for the summer/fall calendar right away). Further, you will receive your gallery on my normal schedule—typically 4-6 weeks after the session, depending on the time of year—and will be able to download your files and use your print credit as soon as you have access to the gallery.

What if I sign up and there aren’t any session dates available that work for me?

While I can’t guarantee that a specific date and time will be available when you go to sign up, I am putting absolutely everything I can on the self scheduling FAM calendar. There are currently several sessions available during every month of the summer/fall calendar, both weekdays and some weekends. There are more than enough to go around, so the likelihood is that if you don’t drag your feet to the very end of enrollment and have at least a tiny bit of wiggle room in your calendar, you'll have several options.


What if I need to reschedule my session due to bad weather or illness?

Life is life. I get it! As always, I’ll do my best to work with you to find an alternate date for our session. And, as always, I just ask that you give me as much notice as possible. You can always go into your portal, cancel your current date and sign up for a new one. It’s that easy!

What can I purchase with my $200 print credit?

Like regular sessions, print credits can be used toward any items in the online gallery store, which includes products such as albums, loose prints, framed prints, calendars, notecards and more.
